𝗔𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽! 🐮👏

Last Thursday we had another fantastic calf rearing workshop in Maryport, Cumbria, and what a great day it was!

First of all, we’d like to say a huge 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗸 𝘆𝗼𝘂 to 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗮𝘆, 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲, 𝗞𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗮𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗻 𝗥𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲 for so generously opening your farm to everyone. We know it takes a lot of time and effort to host an event like this, and we truly appreciate your hospitality.

A very special thank you also goes to 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗺, who treated everyone to an amazing lunch. It was absolutely delicious and very much appreciated by everyone! ❤️

Throughout the day we explored:
🐄 𝗖𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘀
💩 𝗡𝘂𝘁𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿
🦠 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝘀𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿

Understanding these signals early helps farmers make better decisions and prevent small issues from becoming major problems.

We were also delighted to welcome 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 aspatriafarmersltd, who gave a short introduction to the 𝗝𝗙𝗖 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿 and explained how this technology can help farmers achieve more consistent calf management.

To round off the afternoon, we carried out a 𝗦𝗺𝗼𝗸𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝘀𝘁 in the calf shed to assess the ventilation. Especially during periods of hot weather, good airflow is one of the most important factors in maintaining healthy calves and reducing disease pressure.

Days like these remind us how valuable it is when farmers come together to share ideas, ask questions and learn from one another. A big thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did!

📸 If you were there, feel free to tag yourself in the photos and share your favourite moment from the day in the comments. We’d love to hear your thoughts!

We can’t wait to see you at our next workshop! 🐄🌱
