Itโs not something we come across every day on farm, but it is definitely something worth being aware of.
Calves can sometimes carry Giardia and still look reasonably well. But when you start seeing calves that are not quite thriving, with dull coats, dirty backsides or calves that just seem a bit behind, it may be worth discussing testing with your vet. ๐ฉบ
Giardia can be present in the environment, and in some cases other animals, such as dogs and cats, can carry it too without necessarily being ill themselves.
